EVO magazine's Jethro Bovingdon got to drive the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Z51 on wet UK back roads. The Stingray, with the Z51 package as standard on European models, preformed well. Though Bovingdon complained about the car's lack of body control and inconsistent brake pedal feel.
He liked the car's genuine engine noise, the 'Vette's surprising amount of grip, and the fact that Chevy stuck with the manual transmission even though competitors have long since abandoned it for paddles. A full test of the car is in the works for later in the year.

The car is a manual...what are the paddles behind the wheel that his fingers keep reaching for? Stereo controls?

Great question, from Road and Track: "Turns out, the paddles on manual-shift cars aren't for shifting. They're the on/off switches for the standard rev-matching feature." It likely has to do with being able to interchange parts for their automated manual cars.
